If you want to use your video evidence in court, you can enable video watermarking on
the Archiver to protect the video against tampering and prove that it was not
altered.
What you should know
Video watermarking adds a digital signature (watermark) to each
recorded video frame to ensure its authenticity. If the video is later changed by
adding, deleting or modifying a frame, the signatures for the modified content will no
longer match, showing that the video has been tampered with.
To protect your video files against tampering:
-
Open the System task and click the Roles
view.
-
Select the Archiver role, click the Resources tab, and click
Advanced settings.
-
Set Video watermarking to ON, and click .
-
Set up an encryption key for
the watermarking fingerprint.
