You can boost the video quality of the recording stream using a manual
action.
Before you begin
The video quality settings for the recording stream during Boost quality on manual
recording and Boost quality on event recording
must be configured in the camera's
Video tab.
What you should know
When the video quality is boosted through an action, the custom boost quality settings
override the general settings for event recording until you trigger another action, or until
the Archiver restarts.
To boost video recording quality manually:

In the Security
Desk notification tray, click Hot actions
().

In the Hot actions dialog box, click Manual
action.

In the Configure an action window, select one of the following
action types, and select a camera:
Override with manual recording quality:
Turn the Boost quality on manual recording option to
ON.
Override with event recording quality:
Turn the Boost quality on event recording option to
ON.

Click OK.
The custom boost quality settings for video recording are applied to the selected
camera.

To return to the normal recording video quality settings:

In the notification tray, click Hot actions ().

In the Hot actions dialog box, click Manual
action.

Select the Recording quality as standard configuration action,
and select a camera.

Click OK.
